Studio Internationale
Ecological Assessment & Management Plan
Eco Logical Australia was engaged by Studio Internationale to conduct a terrestrial ecological assessment and management plan for a proposed tourist development on Goodnight Island, NSW.
A flora and fauna assessment was undertaken to assess the potential impacts of a proposed tourist development within a sensitive estuarine and terrestrial environment. The proposal was assessed in accordance with the major project provisions under Part 3A of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 (EP&A Act).
A conservation strategy and bushland management plan identified areas of high conservation value to be protected. Areas to restored were integrated into the development proposal. The strategy aimed to improve the overall ecological value of the site and involved a number of habitat offsets. Other mitigation measures and maangement commitments were also identified.
