Vegetation Mapping & Habitat Assessment
A vegetation mapping exercise was completed over the Molonglo River riparian zone in the ACT using aerial photograph interpretation.
Floristic and habitat field survey and validation were carried out to confirm the mapping and collate further information across the study area.
Eight vegetation communities were mapped (including Secondary Derived Grassland).
Six broad habitat types were identified and defined.
We assessed condition and habitat utilisation for threatened species listed for the ACT or nationally (under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999).
