Biodiversity Restoration Strategy
This Strategy provides the framework for restoration of the ecological values of the Western Sydney Parklands Corridor.
Consistent with the principle of ‘protect, mitigate then rehabilitate’, the Strategy gives priority to protecting, consolidating and expanding the better quality areas before restoring more degraded land and waterways.
This Strategy emphasises the need for a long-term, iterative and ongoing commitment to environmental management within the Corridor.
The project provides the framework to prioritise an appox $3m/yr allocation of restoration works in the Parklands.
