Western Sydney Growth Centres Conservation Plan
Eco Logical Australia was engaged by the Growth Centres Commission to develop a conservation plan to support biodiversity certification requirements of the Western Sydney Growth Centres SEPP.
The Conservation Plan identified the existing biodiversity values within the Growth Centres and proposed a suite of mechanisms to achieve positive conservation outcomes for Western Sydney through:
- Development of an improve or maintain assessment for biodiversity values in an urbanised environment considering status, condition, size, connectivity and threat of vegetation, flora and fauna
- Identification of a suite of protection mechanisms for areas of high long term management viability
- Establishment of a suite of guidelines for the offset of habitat loss
