We explored ways of improving integration of water allocation and catchment planning, in collaboration with Mark Hamstead and the New South Wales Office of Water.
The report is available at http://archive.nwc.gov.au/library/waterlines/36 and sets out principles for aligning water allocation and catchment plans that can be applied, with some local variations, in any Australian jurisdiction.
A framework was developed and then trialled in the Hunter Region of New South Wales.
